Role Based Access
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) is a method of managing access to certain resources within the Pingtree application. It's a security approach helping to ensure that users are only able to access data and functionality related to their specific role within your organization.
Role Based Access
An Organization Admin will have the highest level of access. They will have access to all data, settings and permissions of your organization. Additionally, Organization Admin's will have the ability to add, delete and modify data as well as the creation and assignment of additional roles.
Creating Roles
Creating a role first requires you to have the 'role creation' permissions assigned to you. As an Organization Admin, you will have that capability by default.
When creating a new role, you will first provide a custom role name and description of the role. If you have other roles already created in your organization you may use that as a base template for creating this new role.
Once you've named the new role and provided a description, you will begin selecting all permissions you would like your users in this role to have.
Assigning Permissions
Permissions are the granular actions or operations that a user with a particular role is allowed to perform. You can assign each permissions as you're creating the new role. Permissions are organized into sets of modules.
The permissions settings in created roles are able to be modified to add or remove certain access.
