Website Integration
When setting up lead generation or ecommerce campaigns you might find using website integrations a solution to improve and enhance the tracking and effectiveness of the campaign. Integration is easy and can be setup directly theough your host and the pintree platform.
Integration Basics
The idea is to integrate once and then manage from the UI (user interface) for any modifications such as inclusion of expected url params, firing events, click listings and more.
Click Script
The first integration will be to place the Click Scriptp into the site you are running the campaign for. This is a lightweight script that you will be able to paste into your site.
To set this up:
- Navigate to your campaign and visting the settings tab.
- Copy and place the script on your site
Note: Don't worry if you need to add in params later, you can do all that from the UI and it will apply in real-time.
Once Installed the best method to test:
- Create a Direct Tracking Link
- Follow the tracking link and check in the Data Tab for the click. Alternatively you can check in local storage or the url of the session.
Pointing Domains (For Webflow)
To enable Webflow on your site and direct traffic to it, you will need to point a location on your site to the webflow in your campaign by setting the A Record to the IP Address provided.
Once this record is setup, you can then check the poiting and confirm it in the Settings.
Website Events
Website and flow events are there to support analytics, payouts and traffic be more effective. In order to have the campaign event data be applied, you will need to fire events. There are several methods of doing this described below.
Firing Events By Click Script
The Click Script can ingest event data that you will fire directly from your site by passing in the event_is and revenue to the Click Script
Firing Events By Webflow
Webflow make firing site events very easy by allowing you to set on a step of action an event from your campaign events to automatically fire. This is a no code method to setup events.
Firing Events By Postback
There are situations where traffic may leave your site and you would like partners, offline or other situational events to occur. Using the event postback and transaction_id you will have the ability to send in the evnet by request.
